GENERAL DESCRIPTION / JOB SUMMARY:

Lead the Facility and Maintenance team in the planning and implementation of initiatives and services that maintain and improve the reliability, effectiveness and efficiency of equipment, technical infrastructure, production, and admin facilities. Develop and implement equipment life cycle management procedures for optimizing costs and profitability. Manage all operating expenses, such as repair and maintenance, cleaning services, security services, fleet, utilities and energy, and common areas. Supports the selection of the Facility Management model to implement the best practice coming from the market. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Proposes and manages the annual maintenance budget. Monitors the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and determines actions to cost issues as necessary.
  • Collaborates with the Operations team in the definition of maintenance plans and recommends methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance and safety of equipment.
  • Defines maintenance policies and processes that drive maximum efficiency of equipment, and production facilities. Develops and implements life cycle management procedures for all new and existing equipment.
  • Develops and proposes improvement projects for processes and production facilities to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
  • Ensures that health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources.
  • Plans and implements maintenance, testing and inspection schedules to ensure the facility is operating safely and efficiently, maximize the life of equipment, reduce risk of failure, and meet statutory obligations.
  • Manages cleaning activities in line with the organizational standards and company image.
  • Manages the company fleet of vehicles and ensure proper utilization and maintenance in line with related policies and procedures.
  • Ensures security solutions and services follow local security standards.
  • In conjunction with the QHSE Manager, ensures all facilities and services are managed and monitored to maximize energy efficiency of buildings, makes assessments and recommends energy saving solutions.
  • Manages and monitors common areas, including parking and green areas. Manages activities such as landscaping. 

 

 

 

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

Technical:

  • A certain proficiency level in computer skills should be there, including managing databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and using maintenance software
  • Superior time management skills are required to make sure all maintenance processes are managed on time

 

Educational & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in the organization’s industry is a plus.
  • 8 Years of relevant experience.
