GENERAL DESCRIPTION / JOB SUMMARY

To carry out technical evaluation, maintaining the work discipline and good working environment among the pear group, performing the task to generate products of higher level of quality in a cost effective manner and prevention of rework/ rejection. 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines provided by INMA.
  • Produce/Machine parts as per the provided drawing and program.
  • Inspect and verify that each part is generated as per the given specification.
  • Follow all the guidelines provided by the Machine Shop Supervisor.
  • Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
  • Perform job duties accurately and responsible. Verify part and work order
  • Daily checks of machine before operating and identifying risks.
  • Checking of Specifications, work Orders, drawing, tools, material, and program.
  • Machine/manufacture the part within the allocated time.
  • Report problems to supervisor directly.
  • Follow shop rules advised by supervisors.
  • Report any damaged equipment
  • Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, and milling.
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Check & maintain machinery daily as per Daily preventive maintenance checklist to ensure functionality.
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Provide timelines to clients.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
  • Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Technical:  

  • Trade qualified.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of all aspects of CNC Machining.
  • Computer Skills (MS Office / Excel).
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls.

 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in CNC Machining. Operation of conventional machining is an added advantage
