Main Job Purpose
Responsible for managing and overseeing all maintenance operations within their assigned region. This includes ensuring fleet availability, controlling maintenance costs, supervising workshops, and coordinating with external service providers. The role ensures that maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, OEM standards, and safety regulations while achieving operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities
Workshop & Maintenance Operations – Oversee daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities within the assigned region to ensure vehicle availability.
Team Management – Supervise workshop supervisors, foremen, and technicians, ensuring high productivity, quality, and safety standards.
Cost Control – Monitor and control regional maintenance expenses, spare parts usage, and ensure cost efficiency in line with approved budgets.
Vendor Coordination – Manage relationships with local service providers, dealerships, and spare parts suppliers; ensure timely delivery and quality of services.
Fleet Availability – Ensure all vehicles are maintained and repaired on time to support rental and leasing operations, minimizing downtime.
Warranty & Claims – Coordinate with OEMs and insurers to process warranty claims and accident repairs effectively.
Compliance & SOPs – Ensure adherence to company policies, OEM guidelines, and regulatory requirements across workshops.
Reporting – Submit accurate regional reports on KPIs, maintenance costs, downtime, and workshop performance to the National Maintenance Manager.
Process Improvement – Recommend and implement improvements in workshop processes, tooling, and systems for higher efficiency.
Collaboration – Work closely with Operations, Fleet, and Procurement teams to align maintenance activities with business needs.
Ensure staff training and development, conduct performance evaluations, succession planning.
Ensure workshop safety, housekeeping, environmental compliance, and maintain strong HSE culture.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or related field
Extensive experience between 6-8 years in workshop management, maintenance operations, ideally within the relevant industry (fleet, rental equipment, automotive, heavy machinery).
Fluency in English & Arabic.
Proficiency in maintenance management systems, ERP and MS Office tools.
