Main Job Purpose
The Internet of Things (IoT) Product Manager is responsible for defining, delivering, and evolving connected products that create measurable customer and business value. The role ensures alignment between user needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities by owning the product vision and roadmap, guiding cross-functional teams, and driving successful execution across the entire product lifecycle—from ideation to realization
Accountabilities
Defining the product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s goals.
Conducting market research to identify trends, user needs, and competitive landscape.
Collaborating with engineering, design, and marketing teams to bring ideas from conception to launch.
Prioritizing product features based on customer feedback and business value.
Monitoring product performance and making adjustments based on insights gathered post-launch.
Strong technical foundation across IoT hardware, embedded systems, connectivity, and cloud-based data platforms, and can effectively translate complex technical capabilities into market-ready products.
Effective ownership of end-to-end product strategy, including roadmap definition, requirements prioritization, and lifecycle management for solutions involving GPS tracking, CAN bus/OBD data, sensor telemetry, edge devices, and real-time data ingestion.
Should be familiar with cellular connectivity (LTE/4G/5G), MQTT/HTTP protocols, device provisioning, OTA firmware updates, and IoT security best practices.
Deep understanding of fleet operations, including vehicle diagnostics, driver behavior, asset tracking, route optimization, and compliance, is essential.
Experienced with cloud platforms, streaming data pipelines, APIs, dashboards, and analytics systems is expected, along with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams on scalability, reliability, and performance.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or relevant field.
5+ years of Experience in IoT technologies.
Proficiency in tools such as MS Suite, MS Visio, JIRA, or similar.
Ability to define technical requirements and translate business needs into system-level specifications.
Strong understanding of IoT system architecture (devices, firmware, connectivity, cloud, APIs).
Strong knowledge of embedded systems and hardware–software integration.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud).
Understanding of edge computing, data ingestion, and analytics pipelines.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Ability to prioritize and make trade-offs in complex environments.
Adaptability and comfort working in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
Strong decision-making and accountability.
Proficiency in English is required.
