Your Job
As a Supervisor – Kitchen / Executive Chef, you are responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing food preparation, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and leading kitchen staff. You will plan menus, control costs, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure efficient food production in line with operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations Management
Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient food production
Food Preparation & Quality Control
Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality
Menu Planning
Develop, review, and implement menus and recipes based on operational needs
Team Supervision
Supervise kitchen staff, assign duties, and monitor performance
Hygiene & Sanitation
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and sanitary codes
Administrative Control
Maintain records, cost reports, and kitchen documentation
Scheduling & Work Planning
Prepare staff schedules, work procedures, and task assignments
Your skills and experience
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification
Preferably a diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school, Army/Navy cooking school, or completion of a formal apprenticeship program for hotel, institutional, or industrial cooks
Experience
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field, including overseeing kitchen operations and food production
Knowledge
Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, sanitation standards, cost control, and kitchen operations
Language Proficiency Level A
Must communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, prepare reports, and understand safety and hygiene standards
License Requirement
Driving license required
Competencies
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, organizational ability, attention to detail, and ability to manage teams effectively
