Job Purpose & Overview
Join Fleet and Tahreez as a Graduate Geologist with our geoscience team. The role is designed for a recent graduate who is looking to build a strong technical foundation in geology and gain practical experience through fieldwork, data analysis, technical studies, and collaboration with experienced geoscientists.
Through mentorship, hands-on project work, and a clear development pathway, you will progressively take on greater technical ownership and independence, growing toward the Project Geologist role. Your curiosity, rigour, and drive to learn will directly contribute to the success of customer exploration programs from day one.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support geological data compilation, mapping, and interpretation based on data provided from field programs.
Assist with the compilation, quality control, and interpretation of geological and exploration data.
Prepare and update geological maps, sections, logs, and other technical documentation.
Assist senior geologists with geological interpretation and exploration studies.
Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project deliverables.
Maintain accurate records of geological observations, samples, and project data.
Work closely with Geologists, Geophysicists, and other technical disciplines.
Follow company HSE requirements and safe working practices at all times.
Develop knowledge of relevant geological software, tools, and industry practices.
Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training and mentoring.
Requirements
Recent graduate (typically 0–2 years’ experience).
Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is mandatory.
Good understanding of basic geological principles, field techniques, and geological interpretation.
Proficiency in relevant geological software such as Leapfrog, Petrel, ArcGIS, or similar is an advantage.
Familiarity with GIS and geological data analysis tools is an advantage.
Skills & Abilities
Clear communication, with a developing ability to articulate technical information to a range of audiences, and a good command of written and spoken English.
Collaborative team player who works well within a team and is open to feedback and mentoring.
Coachability and initiative – a proactive, self-motivated learner who seeks out opportunities to grow.
Strong listening ability to understand customer and project needs and translate them into geological work, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in science with geology and/or geophysics subjects is the minimum requirement.
Honours, Master’s, or PhD in geophysics or a related discipline is desirable but not essential; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
