Main Job Purpose
The manager of marketing will lead Samara (Sixt)'s marketing and communications area. Responsible of managing the entire marketing department tasks in regard to the strategies and operations to support other departments in achieving company goals and objectives.
Manage company’s marketing and communications strategies, as well as overall branding and image. Prepare annual marketing plans, create a calendar of campaigns and events, set the marketing budget and analyze the market and competitors and other relevant marketing areas.
Accountabilities
Marketing:
Plan and execute marketing strategy for the organization and for new and existing services.
Conduct market research studies and analyze market change, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary to stay up to date on market trends.
Work with other departments to develop strategies to maximize profits and increase market share of Samara while balancing customer satisfaction.
Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy to ensure the alignment of organizational goals.
Develop market intelligence and communicate as necessary with all stakeholders.
Set and administer the annual marketing budget to ensure all activities are executed within the set budget.
Manage and measure marketing campaign costs.
Develop and maintain a calendar of events such as webinars, conferences and thought leadership contributions to raise awareness.
Manage all Sixt events oversee them to ensure everything goes as planned.
Support the organizational functions with tools and campaigns to meet business goals.
Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs.
Provide detailed marketing reports and dashboards to top management.
Utilize data for marketing campaigns, interrogating the organization’s databases and external data.
Negotiate with media agencies and suppliers in order to secure agreements on the production of promotional materials.
Comply with all relevant compliance requirements relevant to the marketing and communications area.
Participate and contribute to the company's strategic initiatives.
Secure a structured customer service standard, in order to enhance the customer journey experience.
Identify new business opportunities to expand the reach and brand positioning.
Provide tools and materials including official forms, guidelines, presentations to enable the sales team to function effectively.
Communication:
Attending speaking engagements and hosting special events
Making sure all company materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding
Conducting all communications (Internal and external)
Developing relationships and working with media outlets and other companies
Manage and refine the social media presence to promote organizational image.
Sustainability reports.
Department Management:
Lead the marketing team from day-to-day activities to connect employees to business goals through the best practices and to ensure a smooth workflow within the department.
Manage the performance of the assigned team through monitoring the KPIs achievement, following up any obstacles, provide performance feedback and conversations, coaching, development…etc. to ensure the achievement of the set objectives.
