Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and qualified HSE Officer to join our team at the Dammam plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting operational teams in maintaining a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across the plant to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Monitor and enforce the correct use of PPE and safe work practices in dusty and high-risk environments.
Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Oversee chemical handling procedures, ensuring safe storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with HSE guidelines.
Observe and report unsafe behaviors and conditions, and recommend preventive measures.
Support confined space entry, working at heights, and manual handling activities with proper controls and permits.
Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
Ensure fire safety systems are accessible, functional, and never obstructed.
Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, safety training, incident reports, and inspections.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve safety performance and implement best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
Certifications: Valid OSHA or NEBOSH certification is required.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a strong background in chemical safety and incident reporting.
Languages: Proficient in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industrial safety practices.
Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Comfortable working in plant-based environments and performing field inspections.
Work Conditions
Willingness to work in shifts and perform overtime as required.
Available to work on holidays and weekends based on operational needs.
Physically fit to handle fieldwork and inspections in industrial settings.
