Position Summary

The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and wellbeing of all Fleet–Tahreez personnel operating across ANT, MT, Gravity, and HVSR survey blocks in Saudi Arabia. This is a hands-on, field-based safety leadership role, acting as the daily guardian of Fleet’s HSE standards and Ma’aden’s operational requirements.
The HSE Manager leads toolbox meetings, conducts field inspections, ensures compliance with SOPs, responds to incidents, and works directly with Operations Leads and Crew Chiefs to maintain safe, disciplined, and consistent fieldwork. They monitor conditions on the ground, identify hazards, implement controls, and drive behavioral safety improvements within all field teams.
This role is critical to maintaining a Tier-1 safety culture and ensuring that every crew, vehicle, worksite, and operation meets or exceeds safety expectations.

Main Responsibilities

Daily Field Safety Leadership

     Lead daily toolbox meetings with all crews.

     Verify that JHAs/SWMS are completed and understood before work begins.

     Monitor safe work practices during ANT, MT, Gravity, and HVSR operations.

   Identify unsafe behaviours and coach crews toward safer habits.

Site Inspections & Compliance

     Conduct daily field inspections across vehicles, equipment, and worksites

     Ensure compliance with Fleet SOPs, Ma’aden rules, and Saudi regulations.

     Check that PPE is used correctly and consistently.

Conduct spot checks on vehicle safety, fatigue management, and field setups.

Incident Management & Reporting

     Lead first-response coordination for incidents and near misses.

     Document incident reports accurately and promptly.

     Conduct or assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.

     Track close-out of HSE actions and ensure accountability across teams

HSE Inductions & Training

     Deliver onboarding HSE briefings for new personnel entering Saudi operations.

     Reinforce HSE expectations, cultural requirements, and emergency procedures.

     Support Crew Chiefs and Ops Leads with task-specific safety guidance.

Risk Management & Hazard Identification

     Identify hazards during operations and recommend appropriate controls.

     Review risk registers and ensure field activities align with operational risk levels.

     Communicate environmental, social, or operational risks to the Operations Director.

Stakeholder Engagement

      Liaise with client HSE representatives and attend site-level HSE meetings.

     Provide updates to Fleet Global HSE when required.

Documentation & Reporting

     Complete daily HSE summaries for the Operations Director.

     Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, actions, and compliance checks.

     Track and report HSE KPIs (hazard reports, inspections, near misses, actions closed).

Continuous Improvement

     Recommend improvements to SOPs, field controls, and hazard mitigation processes.

     Encourage a proactive safety culture through coaching and engagement.

Identify recurring issues and support teams in implementing lasting solutions.


Key Skills and Experience

     3–5+ years in HSE Managerial role within mining, exploration, oil & gas, or field operations.

     Strong understanding of field-based geophysical or remote-area operations (preferred).

     Experience leading toolbox meetings, inspections, and field safety briefings.

     Demonstrated experience with incident investigation and corrective action planning.

     Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE requirements and/or Ma’aden standards (preferred).

     Excellent observational, diagnostic, and communication skills.

Soft skills

        Highly organized and reliable.

        Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

        Calm, solutions-focused, and able to handle pressure.
